PhD student in Law at the Brazilian Institute for Education, Development and Research (IDP). She holds a master's degree in Constitutional Law from IDP and a bachelor's degree in Law from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil). She has a specialisation in Criminal Sciences from University do Sul de Santa Catarina, in Social Security Law from the Centro Universitário Leonardo da Vinci (Brazil) and in Migration and Refuge from University of Brasília (Brazil), as well as training in International Crisis Analysis and Diplomacy and Defence from the Escola Superior de Guerra of Brazil.

Federal Police delegate and professor at the National Police Academy of Brazil. Guest lecturer at IDP and WB Educação. Member of the Spanish Society for Research into Global Security. She has been a counselor for the National Human Rights Council and the Financial Activities Control Council, a member of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking and the National Committee for the Eradication of Slave Labour. She has served as a member of INTERPOL's Human Trafficking expert group and the INTERPOL Specialised Operational Network (ISON) against people smuggling.
