Lawyer and notary with over 16 years of experience in the public sector. Career diplomat and master's degree in Political Science. He has held a number of senior roles in the diplomatic service, including Deputy Director for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Third Secretary at the Embassy of Guatemala in the United States of America, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Guatemala in Italy and Alternate Representative of the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Agencies based in Rome. Since 2019, he has served as Secretary General of the Academy of International Law for Latin America and the Caribbean. These experiences have enabled him to develop expertise in public and diplomatic relations, which he now draws upon in his current role as Secretary of International Affairs and Cooperation of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Guatemala.
