Researcher and doctoral student at University of Girona, Spain. Member of the Chair of Legal Culture of this university. She has a degree in Law and is a specialist in Criminal and Criminological sciences from the University of Oriente, Cuba. She has taught at the Faculty of Law of University of Oriente and at University of Havana, for 11 years.
She has authored 33 publications, in books and law journals, on criminal law, procedure law and evidential legal reasoning.
She has worked on the following areas of study: the subjective element of crime in the types of crimes of the Cuban Criminal Code; special methods of criminal investigation vs. fundamental rights; the chain of custody of evidence and illegal evidence. She has also participated in 51 events and/or congresses on related topics.
She was the secretary of the Editorial Committee of the cuban journal CUBALEX, and also an evaluator of several articles in international journals, including Nuevo Foro Penal, Estudios de Derecho, Revista Via Iuris and Quaestio facti, among others.
