Lawyer and master's degree in Procedure law from University of Medellín, Colombia. Master's degree in Procedure law and Doctor in Law from the National University of Rosario, Argentina. Head of the master's degree in Procedure Law (extensiones at University of Medellín). Professor of postgraduate courses at various universities on topics related to the theory of legal argumentation, scientific evidence, procedural reforms, among others.

Leader and member of the procedure law research group at University of Medellín. Senior researcher as measured by the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia (Colciencias). 

Full member of the Instituto Panamericano de Derecho Procesal and of the Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Procesal. Speaker in national and international events and author of academic and research texts on topics related to procedure law, legal argumentation and evidence.
