Principal researcher in the projects Methodologies for Researching Law in Colombia: Complexity and Social Transformation and The right to evidence from evidentiary reasoning. Inputs for the design of evidentiary institutions in administrative proceedings in Colombia.

He was a visiting researcher at the Buffalo Criminal Law Center at the State University of New York, Buffalo. Junior researcher at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia (Minciencias). Postgraduate professor at different universities such as the National University of Colombia, Santiago de Cali University, Universidad Militar Nueva Granada and La Gran Colombia University.

Speaker at various international events, including the Seminar of the Legal Culture Chair of the University of Girona and the World Congress on Evidential Legal Reasoning.

His academic interests focus on the philosophy of criminal procedure, comparative criminal procedure, evidential legal reasoning and research methodology in law.
