Vicente Andrés, Raquel

Judge in the Technical Office of the Labour Law Chamber of the Suprem Court, Spain

Reinforcement magistrate in the support phase of the decision as coordinating lawyer in the Technical Office of the Supreme Court in the Labour Law Chamber.

She has been a member of the judiciary since 2008 and joined the limited group of magistrates specialising in the social jurisdiction in 2013, having passed the competitive examinations organised by the Spanish General Council of the Judiciary (Consejo General del Poder Judicial - CGPJ). Since then, she has been appointed as a Specialist Judge in the Labour Law Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Valencia (2021-2023), after having also worked in the Labour Law Chamber of the National High Court of Justice (2020); in the Labour Law Chamber of the High Courts of Justice of Galicia (2013-2015) and of Castilla y León (2015-2020).

PhD in Law from Universidad Nacional a Distancia, where she was unanimously awarded the degree of Cum Laude. Lecturer at the Spanish Judicial College on gender issues. Coordinator and teacher in the Human Rights for Legal Professionals programme of the Council of Europe, with the course Labour Rights as Human Rights.

International consultant for the CGPJ, having participated in international cooperation projects on human rights with the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID). Member of the network of experts of the European Institute for Public Administration (EIPA) and of the HELP network of the Council of Europe. She has been a member of the network of specialists in European Union law (REDUE) for the CGPJ in Spain and an international collaborator for the CGPJ.

Author of several monographs, El tratamiento del acoso el orden civil, penal, laboral y contencioso (Aranzadi, 2024); La protección del informante en el marco del compliance (SEPIN, 2023) and Accidentes de Trabajo: aspectos procesales (Editorial Bosch, 2021), as well as various collective works and more than thirty publications in journals of impact on the protection of human rights.
