Senior Assistant Professor of Criminal Procedure at University of Genoa, where he teaches Criminal Procedural Law and Criminal Procedural Law of Economics. He received his Ph.D. cum laude in Law from University of Udine. Previously, he was Junior Assistant Professor of Criminal Procedure at University of Trieste.
He is PI or local responsible for Italian national research projects on criminal evidence (CRYPTOSAFE PRIN 2022 PNRR; PRIN 2022 EPPITALY) and participates in European projects on the digitization of criminal justice (DIGIRIGHTS). He is the author of about seventy publications, mainly on criminal evidence, including the monograph Negotiated Criminal Justice in Europe. Myths, realities and perspectives (Wolters Kluwer, 2019).
He is one of the founding members of the Associazione Italiana fra gli Studiosi della Prova.
