PhD in Law from the University of Alicante and Master and PhD from the Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Adjunct professor at the same university. Lawyer at the Federal Senate of Brazil since 2009. She has completed several master's degrees and postgraduate courses, and is also a lecturer in various postgraduate programmes, including the Professional Master's Degree in Law, Regulation and Public Policy at the UnB for officials of the Superior Court of Justice.
Her research focuses on theory of legislation, legislative argumentation, legal theory, legal interpretation and argumentation, and constitutional law. She is the author of Teoría de la legislación y la argumentación legislativa. Brasil y España desde una perspectiva comparada (Olejnik, 2021) and Teoria da Legislação e Argumentação Legislativa. Brasil e Espanha em perspectiva comparada (Alteridade, 2019). She also is responsible for the column Defensor Legis, on the Jota.info portal, dedicated on everyday legal issues in the areas of legislative branch, parliamentary law, parliamentary committees of inquiry and legislative process, among others.
