Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice of Peru

Lawyer from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Master in Criminal Procedural Law from the Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and Doctor in Law from the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa. He is judge of the Supreme Court of Justice in Peru and is president of the Criminal Chamber. He was president of the Judiciary of Peru in 2011-2012. Professor in Criminal Procedural Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, as well as a full member of the Academia Peruana de Derecho. He holds the decoration of Orden El Sol del Perú, in the grade of “Gran Cruz”.

He is the author of numerous books, especially on Criminal Procedural Law. One of his latest publications is Derecho Procesal Penal-Lecciones (2nd edition, 2020).
